To raise an exception, simply click the ‘Raise Exception’ button and then select a position from the ‘Exception position’ dropdown for which you want to raise the exception.
The system offers the possibility to raise exceptions on:
Raise exception on KPIs: all existing KPIs (both predefined and custom KPIs) are displayed in the list with their actual values and a field named “Exception value” where you can enter the desired value for each KPI. An additional bonus can be specified in the last field displayed.

If an additional bonus is added for a specific position, it will be included in the final bonus even if the group eligibility for the entire scheme fails.

Raise exception on KPIs
Raise exception on groups: all existing groups are displayed in the list with their current values and a field named “Exception value” where you can enter the desired value for each group. The last item in the list is named after the bonus scheme and contains the value for the entire scheme. Therefore, if you want to raise an exception for the entire scheme, you need to enter the desired value in this field.

If an exception is raised on the value of the entire bonus scheme, then exceptions raised on the other groups and KPIs will not be considered when calculating the final bonus. In this situation, the final bonus for the respective position will be the value of the exception raised on the entire bonus scheme (plus additional bonus, if applicable).

If an exception is raised regarding the value of a group, eligibility criteria at the same level will be disregarded in the final bonus calculation. For instance, if a group includes an eligibility criteria, any exception raised for the group will be included in the bonus calculation irrespective of the eligibility criteria’s status on that level. This rule applies solely within each level.
