A bonus scheme represents the following:

• Collection of KPIs used to measure and reward performance for a specific team and cycle.
• The mathematical formula (structure) that translates the values of the different KPIs into a sum of money.
• The conditions/criteria that determine a Rep’s eligibility for the entire or part of the bonus.
• Other sections that can be defined by the bonus scheme creator: i.e. General Incentives Policies, etc.

• A bonus scheme is created for a specific team in a specific cycle.
• The same team can have multiple bonus schemes in the same cycle.
• All the reps in a team will have the same bonus schemes. </aside>

The Bonus Scheme structure includes the following:

• The KPIs and associated payout curves
• The operands: +, -, *, /
• Weights that can be used for both KPIs and Groups
• Groups that bring together multiple KPIs and other subgroups (groups are the equivalent of parentheses in mathematical formulas)
• Monetary values that represent a fixed value - a constant - that will be applied to all Reps. More generically Monetary Value is a way to introduce any type of constant in the bonus scheme formula.

Any time before the bonuses reach the payment phase the bonus scheme can be reopened and modified!

This is the strategy to introduce an exception that will apply to the entire team, by changing the bonus scheme structure (or the qualifiers). In such case, all the exceptions raised will be deleted and the new bonus scheme will go through the Review stage again.
